This is one, super duper late post. I've been busy with school, no time for Valentine.

I'm just kidding, but the 'busy with school' part it serious. Oh life. For Valentines day, I decided to give my family small tokens of my appreciation, a little something for their big hearts. I didn't take any pictures of the things I made and bought because I wasn't aware that I was going to blog about this. I made my little sisters tiny book like covers and bought tic-tacs and placed those in. I personalized the words written on the front cover and the back cover. For our mom, I bought three stemmed roses and arranged it myself (which took me two days to figure out how. I know, I suck at it. Proves that floral arrangement is an art). I took a picture of one of the rose we placed in a vase to make it last long. I tied the tag I made around its neck. She's our queen by the way. *wink*

For dad, I bought a huge jar and different flavors of potato chips. It's his favorite so...yeah. Then I poured the contents of those potato chips in the jar. Mixed potato chips for you dada! For my big bro, I gave him hugs which mostly annoyed him. My darling gave me something as well. My favorite chocolate and three pieces of blue edible roses! Diabetes for Valentines? Yes? Yes!

Just kidding. Balance your sugar intake kids!

Of course, I made him something too! He was currently craving for marshmallows, he even bought a huge pack just for himself, ate it like chips or nuts. I modified his favorite marshmallows a bit by dipping it into melted chocolate milk and sprinkled it with crushed grahams. Smore's love for him! No pictures though. I was so busy figuring out how to pack it after letting it freeze, I forgot to take a photo. Maybe next time when I make another set.

A little rant. There were lots of rants about Valentine's day, bitter rants, I must say. "Walang Forever", or, "There's No Forever". In reality, yes, there is no such since I believe that change is the only constant in the world (at least, for my perspective). But slapping these on couples' faces, especially on Valentine's day doesn't make you a better "single" person. Perhaps it is that hard to be happy for people who  'already' found love, forever or not. I can't judge them since I don't know what rouses them to feel that way. Well, I know what roused mine before.

But, hey, I've been there...for years. Yes, you will definitely feel left out, annoyed and really, you can feel the bitterness crawling through your skin. I can't help wondering what if I had a Valentine, if I someone gave me flowers, chocolates, gigantic teddy bears, singing me love songs, how does it feel? Often I looked down on myself during Valentine's day. I am happy for them, but obviously, I cannot avoid being mean. But, if I can't say anything nice, I rather shut up. Besides, I had friends and family to celebrate it with. Bitter together! Just kidding.

I'm not making a big deal out of it. I know it's a joke. I'm just saying that, you have cheer a little bit up buttercup!

Valentine's day shouldn't be the only day to make those people close to your heart feel special. 

The waiter gave us "free" nuts for appetizer while waiting for the others and while they wait for our orders (unless you count it in their kinda expensive service charge then it is not free). I believe it was adobong mani. We were so hungry so the nuts didn't last, taste great.

They gave us the menu then, and while the birthday boy was taking down the orders, the others arrived! Horay! Food bonding! The waitress probably noticed our "big" group, and mentioned that they have a group meal (Although we already asked for a group meal menu before we settled down, they still handed us the menu good for 2-3). So they gave us a wheel to play with. Kidding, they gave us the menu good for 10-12 person which has a wheel on which I don't really know what purpose it serves because I wasn't the one ordering, but hey it's eye-catching.

I honestly forgot what we ordered, as I mentioned, I just nodded 'yes' to their choices. I liked every single one of the order, specially the chicken-tingy. I asked my friend the name of that order so many times but I still forgot what it was. Ugh.

This bucket was filled with goodies yo! Like Christmas but for yo' tummy. It contained kwek-kwek, fish-ball and chicharong baboy. Can you see that tiny caldero? Adorbs.

The pots and pans, where the food were placed, are the type of pots and pans used by Pinoys in cooking food. Again, clever. Everything was Filipino-ish.
