Happy new year! Spent my new year with my family and it was raining so it was hard to get those crackers lit up. I know, I posted this late. It's January 2 and it's back to school soon. Anyway, our new year celebration was simple, we followed few of our family new year rituals, like, wearing a colored shirt depending on what's the assigned lucky color of the year. There were so many colors posted, like blue, yellow, red, pink, gold... etc. We settled for yellow.
Of course, new year is not complete without my mom's homemade food! Yum! She also tried making "Dynamite". It's Jalapeño wrapped in a lumpia wrapper together with grilled pork and slices of cheese. It's the bomb! Literally, it was so so so spicy and delicious!
After lighting up all our fireworks, all was left was to gather round and eat our Media Noche. Happy new year! May this be a great year for each and every one of us.
